![]() I had to read this twice to figure out who was talking about whom. Those triplet braces are just there to clarify things, that's not the point. Zrtf90, you have written 3 posts and they are all wrong/not getting to the point you may want to take a break lol. ![]() The chord in the lower staff at the end of the measure sure appears to be aligned correctly with the triplet rhythm in the RH. I don't think there is a completely standard notation for a half-note rest where the performer is assumed to think of each beat as a "silent" triple so the engraver used something that he or she thought was suggestive. ![]() if each of the first three beats were written with three eighth-note rests just like the last beat is written with two rests and an eighth note). The dots aren't strictly necessary but seem intended to suggest an implied triplet rhythm in the LH (i.e. The RH in this measure consists of four triplet rhythms (all the way to the end of the measure), with each triplet rhythm notated by a quarter note (a crotchet) and an eighth note (a quaver). ![]() Also, those quaver rests at the end of the LH staff seem to suggest that they want a triplet but if that's the case, why those F G and C would perfectly be aligned vertically with the last quavers of the RH staff? That's not correct because the last quavers of the RH staff (F and A) are not in a triplet, they are just quavers ending the second voice which starts with the double-dotted half note B.
